Preventing
Stress
Creating robust human-beings and organizations through meaningful work

Building recilience

Providing participants with the tools to prevent stress and recognize the strains that can lead to long-term sick leave, lack of performance, increased conflict, and failure to thrive.

The course consists of three components:

1: Background knowledge

With a psychologist with expert knowledge in the field, we examine the definition of stress. What is the difference in just being busy vs. being stressed? Can stress be good? What is the biology of stress and what are the indicators of a stressful environment and stressed employees? What role does meaningfulness and the meaningful organization play regarding stress and in dealing with it?

2: Exercises and cases:

The participants are provided with the opportunity to discuss cases from their own workplace and to work with new dilemmas with the facilitator.

3: Skills:

Conversational skills and guidance in having difficult conversations regarding stress (Meaningfulness Conversations). Stress cuts across the professional and private areas of life which demands the skills to talk about matters we often exclude from the “professional conversations”.

Why is it important?

Stress is the quiet pandemic that we need to break together
Stress is stealing our time, productivity, potential and joy

15 % of working Danes feel stressed “at all times” or “often”, citing work as the primary cause. This has established ‘stress reduction’ and ‘stress management’ as vital components of leadership skills within contemporary organizations. Only the leaders that master this can realize the full potential of their employees. You should not become sick from going to work.

How do you benefit?

Learn to tackle the problem before it is too late
You will learn to recognize the signs of stress, both in the organization and in the individual employees.

Locating factors that will eventually create stress in the organizational culture and within the individual employees go hand in hand. By also examining the cases from participants, we create an opportunity to help the leader in immediately dealing with incipient stress and in finding appropriate actions for the future, reducing the factors that bring employees under unreasonable pressure.

The course is facilitated in Danish or English according to participants’ needs.

Kurset består af tre komponenter:

1: Baggrundsviden
